Don’t be cog in Meadors’ money machine
I’ve suffered, off and on, from back problems of sciatic pain, spasms, stiffness, etc. for almost 20 years.
So, I decided to try the 2 “free” treatments in 2011. When I came in for the 1st visit I was struck by the feeling of being sucked into some sort of processing machine. That continued when, after a pointless 5-minute “evaluation”, I was ushered into a room and given a very nice massage and treatment with a laser, all of which was quite pleasant.
At the same time I was told about the Meadors outfit, in suitably glowing terms, by the pleasant enough attendant. Afterword I had 10-12 minutes in the traction machine in a cramped area chuck full of other people either being “tracted” or waiting to be.
From start to end, the whole thing lasted a bit over an hour but, sadly, when I walked out it was with the same limp and pain as when I walked in. It was the same in the 2nd visit but that one concluded with a 20-visit for $5K+ sales pitch. Since I wasn’t helped there definitely was no sale.
Bottom line, it’s a money machine for Meadors, nothing more.
SCAM
Definately a scam! I went last year for my “2 free” visits and then got the hard sell. $6000 for all the visits I would need. I asked what happens if I was better after half the visits. Dr. Meadors told me there was no way I would not need all the visits. I felt like I was talking to a used car sellsman.
I didn’t pay and left. My back got progressively better and in about 2 months my pain was completely gone! It didn’t cost $6000!
I noticed that his office was filled with older patients. I felt so bad seeing these poor people being ripped off. Besides physicial therapy – covered by most insurance plans – can offer some of the same treatments.
Please DO NOT give your money to this man. I can’t stand to watch his commercials!
Scam
Dr. John Meadors just wants your money! You go because you will try anything to get out of pain.
Dr. Meadors does not even treat you. He hires young people with no medical training to put you in traction and use lasers on you that do not work!
He comes in after the second treatment to give you the hard sell. $6000.00 or get financed by his company or nothing. He has you sign a contract that states after 11 times if this is not working you will get your remaining money back.
I told them it was not working on my 11th visit and they would only give me back $1800.00. When I ask to talk to Dr. Meadors he refused and his finance lady told me they could do charge anything they wanted because he was a chiropractor.
What an expensive lesson in getting conned!
Dr. Meadors has been arested for taking advantage of people in pain. I guess he got out and is up to his con again. I am seeing his adds again.
DO NOT GET CONNED BY DR. MEADORS AT UTAH SPINE AND DISC!
Con-Man
Dr. Meadors is one of the biggest con men I have ever met.
I like a lot of you saw his advertizments on ABC Good Things Utah!
Dr. Meadors claims he will give you two free treatments and cure you of horrible pain without the use of medication or surgery! PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THESE FALSE CLAIMS!
You go to your two treatments and have high hopes that something will finally work. You are treated by very young non educatited people with no medical training at all.
On your third visit you are met by Dr. Meadors for the first time in a conferance room where he gives you the hardest sell of your life!
$6000.00 up front or you can finance through his company.
I ask if I could pay as I went depending on my progress. Dr. Meadors said absolutly no way. You pay or your out.
After talking to my husband I decided to try this after being in horrible pain for 6 years due to doctors performing bad surgeries and intraping my nervers in a hernia surgery along with bad chiroprator manipulation that herniated discs in my spinal cord.. I was nieve and was hoping something could help me so I could take care of my family.
I paid him $6000.00 on our credit card and hoped for relief finally.
Dr. Meadors said I needed 36 treatments. He had me sign a contract stating that after 11 treatments I could get my remaining money back if his treatments did not work.
On my 11th treatment I and my husband ask to talk to Dr. Meadors. We were told no we had to talk to his finance girl. We ask for our money back and were told we would only receive $1800.00 from our original $6000.00. We ask why and her response was we can charge you anything we want because Dr. Meadors works as a chiropractor, and there are no laws to what he can charge per visit.
I learned he had been arrested on charges of taking advantage of the elderly this last month and I was so happy he had finally been relived as a Con-Man! But now I am seeing his adds again! How Can This Keep Keep Happening to People in Utah! ARE WE THIS STUPID!!!
